Many companies around the world are also joining in the movement to bring more eco friendly products to the market. Samsung is one of those companies. It has just introduced Reclaim M560 that is powerful to let its users get a lot done on the go, and it doesn’t contain any PVCs and RFBs. This is a serious smartphone that takes advantage of Sprint’s network to bring you phone, GPS, and multi-media on the go.

Here are a few eco-friendly features that make this phone special:

  • Material: Its bio-plastic material, made from corn, makes up 40 percent of the Reclaim’s outer casing. It’s free of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), phthalates, and nearly free of brominated flame retardants (BFR).
  • Package: The outer packaging and the phone tray inside the box are made from 70 percent recycled materials.
  • Energy Consumption: the charger is energy star compliant and doesn’t consume more energy that it has to to get your phone charged.
  • Donation: $2 of each purchase goes to The Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre program. The more you buy, the more the programs gets help.

M560 may not be as sophisticated as iPhone but it has its own merits. And it doesn’t hurt the environment either. A great reason to pick up this phone for environment-aware customers.
