November 11, 2009No Comments

So you want to go green at home? There are plenty of ways to get started with the process. As I have mentioned on this blog before, there are plenty of places to look for improvement if you intend to get started with your own green home. To help you achieve just that, we intend to put together a series of lists on a consistent basis to help you go green at home and in your garden. In the first part of this series, the focus will be on eco-friendly cribs. These cribs are made out of material that don’t hurt the environment and keep your kid safe at all times. The good news these cribs are as solid as the other alternatives on the market.

With that in mind, here a 3 green cribs you should consider picking up to start going green at home:

Pixel Organics Organic Crib Set in "Super Charged"

Pixel Organics Organic Crib Set: it is a complete crib set that is ready to go from the get go. GOTS certified organic cotton sateen and all the recycled material used in this crib make it a dream come true for those who care about preserving our planet

Babi Italia Eco-Friendly Baby Crib, Coffee Bean

Babi Italia Eco-Friendly Baby Crib: a flexible unit that converts to a toddler bed and day bed depending on what you need. It’s made out of non-toxic material. It’s good for your baby and not harmful for the planet.

Atlantic Furniture Eco-Friendly Columbia Convertible Crib, Antique Walnut

Atlantic Furniture Eco-Friendly Columbia Convertible Crib: it’s made from eco-friendly hardwood, and all finishes are non toxic and lead free. The Steel reinforced solid hardwood construction keeps your baby safe as well.

Atlantic Furniture does have a whole lot of other eco-friendly cribs if you are looking for more stylish options. But the key here is not how much money you are paying for your crib or how it looks, but rather what it helps accomplish. Make sure you do read the descriptions and know what you are getting with your crib. There are a few companies that use the term “eco” to sell more units without making an effort to actually offer greener products. The safety of your child should be the top priority but if you can help save the planet in the process, that’s a big plus.
