Prius is one of the greenest cars around. I personally get 45 mpg mileage with my Prius. But the new 2010 model is expected to improve upon that. And of course it does help that you get a lot of new features such as the auto parallel parking system and a solar roof. But that’s not all we are going to get with the new Prius cars. It seems Toyota is planning to introduce plug-in hybrids

The new plug-in Prius car is expected to achieve triple digit fuel economy in the future. Now as a driver, you are going to make a few sacrifices and drive the eco-friendly way, but it’s nice to know that it’s possible to get 100 mpg mileage with a plug-in Prius.
One of the greatest aspects of human creation is our uniqueness. We are all very unique, and we all have our opinion. And if you are lucky to live in a country with freedom of speech, you get to express your views freely. That’s why we hear all kinds of strange ideas these days in the U.S. The idea of secession, revolution, and … are being discussed on TV and in the states. But while those may be shocking, they pale in comparison to the latest claim by a few folks that the green movement is a conspiracy as a whole designed to help the government ease us into more taxes to finance its expansion.
I usually try to stay away from discussing politics, and I think that’s what a lot of us need to do to look at things from a different perspective. I have seen state representatives claim that we can’t hurt the mother Earth even if we wanted to. Some are even questioning the viability of going green in this country (must read Green to Gold). We have been using fossil oil and gas for ages to power up our devices. But we have neglected alternative energy sources such as solar and wind. Not only these sources can help us break our Middle East oil dependence, they are very cheap and sustainable.
At the end of the day, not everything is about taxes. I don’t doubt that the governments around the world are interested in taxing us all more to fund their spending, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to address the real challenges that our planet faces. One can make jokes about “global warming” or climate change, but environmental changes are on the way whether you are a republican, an independent, or a democrat.
We have been hearing about the so-called smart, eco-friendly cities that will help save our planet from the damage we have been doing for years. But how close are we to having those cities? And are we going to deal with hackers and criminals taking over these cities?
Al Gore has certainly managed to polarize the nation in the past few years. The issue of global warming and climate change is something very real. But a lot of folks in the conservative movement folks are using Al Gore as a target to undermine the merits of this movement. Folks such as Newt Gingrich have dismissed the issue of climate change as a liberal propoganda to get more taxes out of small and big businesses. It’s true that there will be some costs for going green in this country, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try our best to move forward. The climate is changing fast and regardless of which camp you are in, there is no question that we need to avoid harming where we live — planet Earth.
Newt, at some point we are going to get to that point of no return. We may have already passed it. Are there people who’ll make money out of this issue? No doubt! But that’s the case with any movement. That doesn’t mean we should keep harming our earth.
Which side are you on?

I have always believed that we should do everything that we can to help the planet and go green. Not a lot of people are willing to take a chance on green technologies in these tough economic times. It’s always nice to see companies offer savings to folks who may be interested in adopting Eco-friendly technologies but don’t want to spend too much money, but we need companies such as Amazon to treat every day as Earth Day. To its credit, Amazon has created a green portal to let folks find green products easier, but a lot of companies still haven’t jumped on the green movement’s bandwagon.
The green movement is not about being part of an exclusive club. It’s about saving the planet. There is no question many companies join the green movement to gain some goodwill back. There is nothing wrong with that. But going green is more than giving your design a more green makeover. It’s about what you do to help the consumers adopt green technologies and help save the earth. Unfortunately, not a lot of companies get it!
Your take: In your opinion, what company has the best green promotions?
